Losing Flames
Do I still feel that fiery spark for you? As I search within, the blaze is fading too, A tiny ember lingers, but it’s growing dim, Perhaps I’ve given all, my chances slim. The flicker of my passion starts to wane, You’ve not tended to the fire, it’s a strain. I’m feeling cautious, weariness takes hold, Of the love I offer, once bright and bold. Have you noticed, dear, the change in me? Words escape my lips, wrapped in uncertainty. Maybe it’s a moment, just a passing phase, But time will tell, through nights and days. For soon my flames may flicker out of sight, The burning love for you could lose its light.
