Longing Loveand Peace
The world spins bright, a careless glee, While shadows cling, and grief holds me. I yearn for peace, a quiet heart, A happiness torn cruelly apart. They say that youth, a vibrant bloom, Should burst with joy, dispel all gloom. But how to find such sunlit grace, When sorrow stains this teenage space? For love I long, a gentle hand, To understand, to understand. To be both loved, and love in kind, A solace for my troubled mind. How bitter jest, this broken trust, A life betrayed, reduced to dust. To let them in, to let them break, A foolish choice, for goodness' sake.
