Longing For The Past
I want to lay in a field of grass, Gaze from above as the moments pass Hear the rush of the wind blowing, Watch over the leaves hang quivering. I wish I could close my eyes Without questioning the deepest sighs Savor the whisper of my heart While reflecting on the day I fall apart. My life has become hideous with questions, Wrapped in his vanishing affections. Words we held unceasingly exist From the truth that no longer persist. Yearning to leave myself in the unknown And allow my thoughts to travel alone, Chase the blissful light that fades away In a faint recollection, I chose to stay.
