LONGING FOR LOVR

"I miss you,"he said. Oh, how I've longed for those words! A small phrase, Yet so much meaning attached. I've yearned to hear it, So much I dreamt of it. And finally, I heard it, But I felt different. It came from the wrong lips. Yet still, I smiled, Not as bright as the sun, But a smile of wanting. "Miss,"a simple yet complicated word I will let go of the longing, But the void still remains. Waiting for the one who will make it whole, Funny how love can be so cruel.
