Longing for Home
I used to think I was an angel, fallen for a reason. My smile was warm my soul ready to shine. But living life is a dark place sometimes and all that remains is the bitter aftertaste of being an angel left in the darkness with no hope of returning home. My smile disappeared My soul never shone. Now I'm covered in scars that just won't heal. Now I'm broken and all that's left is, my back hurting from the wings I no longer have. My body that always holds a burning feeling. But the worst part is the feeling when I walk outside and look in the sky. It is longing. Longing for home.
