Longing For A Father's Love
I feel like an outsider in my own home A stranger to my stepfather's heart He barely speaks to me, and when he does It's brief and cold, lacking warmth and love I see him dote on my sister, his biological child Their bond is strong, while mine is fragile and wild I've learned to accept this painful truth But it still hurts, like an open wound that won't heal I yearn for a father figure, someone to guide me But he's absent, emotionally and mentally I'm left to navigate life on my own Searching for love and support, a sense of belonging -Mola Ndlela
