Longing

I told my therapist about you, you know? "Longing" That's the word she used. "Distance" That's what she told me to give. "Withdraw" That's what she told me to do. Longing - I couldn't think of a more accurate word. I long for you like a student longs for winter. I long for you like a flower longs for spring. I long for you like the tired long for rest. I have so many beautiful things to tell you, so many gifts of words, so many acts of love, so many gestures of care... that you will never see.
