longing
In the quiet hours of night, my heart feels heavy, like stones wrapped in whispers, I long for the warmth of his embrace, the gentle shelter of arms that still the storms within me. I search for love in my reflection, but the mirror holds a stranger, and I ache with the effort, each step towards acceptance, as daunting as climbing mountains in the shadow of doubt. All I wish is to be held, to know I am enough, to feel the softness of comfort folding around me like the tender light of dawn, and for just a moment, to be okay.
