lonely days....
A soul adrift, in darkness lost, A heart that's heavy, weighed by the cost, Of tears and pain, of sorrow's might, A troubled mind, without a light. Hurt by the world, by love's cruel hand, Left to wander, in a desolate land, Sadness clings, like a shroud that won't fade, Loneliness echoes, in every shade. Their eyes, once bright, now dim and gray, Reflect the pain, of each passing day, Their smile, a distant memory, hard to recall, Their voice, a whisper, barely heard at all. They search for solace, a place to hide, From the ache within, that won't subside, A comforting embrace, a gentle hand, To guide them through, this troubled land. But still they walk, alone and unsure, Through the shadows, of a world that's obscure, Their heart, a burden, they can't define, A troubled soul, in a world that's unkind. Yet still they hold, on to hope's thin thread, And pray for peace, in a world that's unsaid, For a respite, from the pain they can't bear, And a chance to heal, from the hurt they can't share.
