Lonely Addiction
She walks this windy night with stars above, And, firm within her head, she is so sure The extent of her need is to know love; That this isn't her addiction but her cure. Her lonely days are spent in solitude That leaves her wondering about her life. Her easy days are spent in gratitude, The contrast being how she measures strife. As humans tend to do, she passes time, Hoping that she will find someone someday. But never, will she ever cross the line, To put her bold intentions on display. And the stars she sees as she walks tonight, Just mimes her lonely thoughts among the lights.
