Lonely
There is a feeling inside me That longs to belong to every single group I gaze enviously as people have fun But I'll never join in, when all's said and done I shouldn't envy other's carefree nature But it is always sparked by my lonely stature I'm the only one who knows People have gotten close Never enough to unlock my mind To the point where they're no longer blind Where they can see Me for who I am Not just an anagram I have no group I just walk in a loop From circle to circle Of friends I don't know Sowing seeds that won't grow With my many masks in tow They cycle the command To match the demand Of people I see By the time they catch on, To the problems of my brain They would have gone past Any efforts to constrain I would have ceased To put it simply Shed my skin but not moved on Just a skeletal frame A mask for the pain Hiding the death behind the body One has got close Their chances have faded Any hopes of unlocking the door Have been jaded. It's not sad... is it?
