Loneliness
In the quiet moments, I reflect On the space between us, Once filled with laughter and warmth, Now overshadowed by uncertainty. You spoke words that felt like promises, Yet they melted away like morning mist, Leaving behind a cold and cruel reality, A fracture in the trust we built, Brick by brick, moment by moment. I remember the times I extended my hand, Only to have nothing extended in return, Trying to bridge the silence, Yet each time, I was met with walls built of indifference, A lack of understanding, A failure to communicate. You brushed aside my feelings, Dismissed my concerns with a wave, As if they were mere whispers, Nothing the echos of a heart in pain. Rudeness became your language, Disrespect masked as if they were casual words, And I stood there, bewildered, wondering where the kindness went. I poured my heart into our exchanges, searching for connection, But it felt like I was speaking into a void, a chasm. That echoed only my own thoughts, Filling the air with unanswered questions, Loneliness wrapped in confusion.
