living with the guilt ❤️🩹
In shadows of my mind, a ghost resides, A haunting presence, where guilt abides, A heart once whole, now shattered lies, A reflection of my sorrowful eyes. If only I had acted, spoken, seen, Perhaps fate's course would have been serene, But indecision's chains bound me tight, And now, in death, a soul takes flight. Your smile, a memory, forever past, Echoes of laughter, forever vast, My mind replays our final goodbye, A bittersweet reminder, I ask why. Self-blame's cruel whispers pierce my night, "What if?" and "Why?" an endless fight, Tortured thoughts, a relentless, gnawing pain, A weight that presses, driving me insane. In this dark mirror, I confront my shame, A reflection worn, with guilt's deep stain, Longing to turn back time's unyielding hand, To save you from fate's cruel command. Yet, wisdom whispers, "You did your part," A soothing balm, a gentle heart, Reminding me, life's paths unwind, Uncertain and complex, forever entwined. Forgiveness calls, a gentle, healing rain, To wash away the guilt, the pain, To free my soul from chains of blame, And find solace in love's eternal flame. But for now, I hold this weighty stone, A constant reminder, I am not alone I search for peace and live with love
