Thinkers, like Plato, and Geoffrey Chaucer too, Bestow on us tales of thought extraordinary; From epic to romance, they provide us a view, How life changes for everyone, and the story The truth these philosopher-poets impart, Shows this world is more than all jokes, and a jest; For each tale or sonnet has a noble heart, A pearlier truth we can anon attest. In this learning tale writers can help us grow, By helping foster kinder hearts in our chest; Instilling deeper understanding and show A gentler side of our lives and rest. With wise words and verses, they grant us new minds, For betterment, if we're true, as surely one finds!
