lingering touch
In shadows deep, I bear the weight, Of memories I can't abate. His hands, a cruel, relentless touch, A torment that I can't seem to discuss. Each night, I'm haunted by the past, A pain that lingers, unsurpassed. I wish to speak, to break the chains, But silence, like a shroud, remains. I'm not alone, this truth I know, Other survivors in silence grow. Together, maybe we can find our voice, Reclaim our strength and make a choice. To heal, to mend and to rise above. But right now that ending remains a distant dream, out of my reach. But it will be ok, maybe.
