LIKE WE USED TO
In tender whispers, we once spoke, Love's language danced, hearts awoke. But time has changed, our story's hue, Now I don't love you like I used to. Words that once painted skies so bright, Now feel heavy, lost in the night. The melody of love, now a woe, I have to let you go, I know. Our conversations, once sweet and pure, Now echo with silence, unsure. The laughter that adorned our days, Fades, as love slowly slips away. Oh, how I long for the days of old, When our love was a tale untold. But seasons change, and people too, I must bid farewell, and start anew. Though tears may fall and hearts may ache, Sometimes love's path we cannot remake. So, let us cherish what we once knew, And release the love that no longer grew. Talk like we used to, a bittersweet guide, Now I don't love you like I used to, I confide. With gratitude, I set my heart free, Embracing a future where love will be. Romique
