Like Water, I Rise
I walk the path where shadows fall, A dreamer bruised, yet standing tall. The world is vast, the voices loud, But silence holds me like a shroud. They say I'm small, I’m not enough, My hands are weak, the climb too rough. But I am water, wild and free, I carve through stone relentlessly. I’ve trickled through the cracks of doubt, Where hope was fading, almost out. I’ve tasted dust, I’ve felt the drain, I’ve danced in drought, endured the pain. No rushing river marked my way, Just drops of sweat, day after day. I’ve begged the skies, I’ve braved the burn, Each fall a lesson, each twist a turn. Like rain that shapes the sleeping land, I mold my fate with trembling hands. They build their walls, they draw their lines— But water slips through their designs. Sometimes I freeze, sometimes I flow, But deep inside, I always know: No force can break a will so pure, Like water, I endure. One day the tides will rise for me, I’ll flood the world they said I’d flee. And when they ask me who I am— I’ll smile and say, “I am the dam.” ~ Shivam
