like plants
when we come to my father house; i always have a bad feeling, maybe it warns me for what i have to exspect. when we come to my fathers house; there is still the same food in the fridge untouched since our last stay, there are the same clothes on the floor we try to walk carefully around them, there are the same beer bottles in the kitchen maybe a couple more when i look closer. there is just an even bigger layer of dust resting on the furniture, and the plants look even more dry and dead. i know that my dad has problems, but he continues saying 'i'm fine' so i just start cleaning, cooking diner and looking after my sister, so at least she can be safe and sound. but when i lay in my bed at night, exhausted and tired i always get that shiver of fear; what if one day he will forget us just like he forgot the plants?
