Like a Ghost to her
I just want to talk a simple word or two, But each time I reach out, I feel I’ve hurt you. Your silence screams louder than any reply, Like I’m a shadow you'd rather pass by. I send a message, hoping you’ll care, But your replies vanish into thin air. It’s like my presence is too much to bear, As if I’m pain, not someone who's there. I replay our laughs, the warmth we shared, Now I’m a burden, while once you cared. I don’t want to beg, I don’t want to chase, But I miss the calm I found in your face. So I’ll hold these words and set them free, Not to haunt, but just to be me. If ever your heart feels a little less far, Know I was never a storm I was just a star.
