lighthouse.
there are times when I laugh. there are times when I smile. there are times when reality feels worthwhile. but those times are moments. glimpses of light in the darkest night. they say time passes in a haze when you mourn. I didn't realise how accurate they were till you and I were torn. I am a sad person with happy moments. the sadness reaches the depths of my soul. my heart is shattered, and my mind oft goes astray from where i wish it would stay. I can't even make sense of my own name. like a sailors ship in a storm, I'm lost at sea with no port to call my home. despite the captain and the crew, I feel alone. holding steadfast till I reach the maker of my soul. yet the storm ever grows. though I see the lighthouse guiding me sometimes, I think it's a mirage Im seeing. are you there? do you hear me? I know the truth I truly do. but sometimes I wonder if I've been lied to. lighthouse, hear my cry. It's not because I want to die. I'm just tired of the grief. The year of mourning has turned to three, and the pain has yet to subside keep climbing each wave of the world, heading ever closer to the light in the night. my sails are torn, and I'm trapped in the storm. My only hope is the lighthouse
