Light in the Darkness
Beneath the pale moon, I walk alone, My shadow stretches, cold as stone. The wind whispers your distant name, Like a shattered echo lost in flame. Oh, love once mine, now torn away, My heart bleeds, my soul in dismay. The nights are heavy, void of stars, Each sigh a wound, each thought a scar. I wander lost in doubt’s embrace, Silent, broken, without a trace. The days fade into dust and air, My soul dissolves in bleak despair. But suddenly, in the deepest night, A gentle glow, a touch of light. She stands there, soft as a prayer, A golden spark in my despair. Her voice soothes the raging storm, Her hand lifts me, weak and worn. She speaks, and silence heals, Her eyes dissolve the pain I feel. Oh you, my light, my saving grace, A mirage turned to warm embrace. In your gaze, I see anew, A man reborn, strong and true.
