Life's Road
You knew I had a troubled past, one, at first, you didn't know. Yet, I said I love you then; that was about a billion words ago. It never seemed to bother you that I wasn't like the rest, And you always understood my cause whenever I confessed. For all this time that you and I have traveled on life's road, We have had each other with whom to share our heavy load. You have been my most loyal friend through every toil and strife. We have learned how much love means to get us through this life. I thank God we found each other when we met so long ago. And, since that time, we've been together through life's ebb and flow. If there's one thing that I know that I can be pretty sure of, It's the tapestry of deep emotions that comprise our love: And, that this world without you in it; it's very clear to see, Would not be a world that I could live in, not a world for me.
