Life of the Party
I'm the life of the party. I know how to have fun. I'm the life of the party. Good times have begun. This tends to get old. When is it my turn to be entertained? When do I get the same energy in return? This gets pretty old. Being the only one who talks. The only one with ideas. The only one who feels something. What hurts even more, is when I do open up. When you get that look on your face, the one I hate. The one I know you make when you don't truly care. But, what do you add? Literally nothing. I spent this whole night testing, testing what you would do. If I just didn't talk to you. As I predicted. You didn't say a word. Just asked me, "What you looking at on your phone?" So I still have to entertain you? How about you come up with your own stories to tell. If I didn't talk, our relationship wouldn't have words. If I didn't talk, our relationship wouldn't have fun. There's times I've said too much. But you never say enough. I bet we could go days without a word. I feel like in some ways you've won by having me. Some days, I feel like I've lost. You don't like meaningful talks, and shy from emotions. I'm stuck. I'm sad. You'll never change. We will never change.
