Life of the captured
The cage banged shut The world was out of grasp The things I've wanted to do now became hopeless dreams When will I ever be free? Thirsting for adventure I tried to escape but the bars refused to break My desperate screams My croaking cries were never heard and faith was to far to reach Everyday the outsiders thrived in the suns light Every night they sang under the starry sky Every time I stared at them my eyes tearing with jealousy The keys of liberation sounded soothingly sweet Yet so hard to play Silence felt so loud All could feel was loneliness's cold embrace The cage became my compulsary dwelling And Isolation was my only company
