life as a teen girl .
I wish i looked like the girls on TikTok and Pinterest, they look so effortlessly pretty. i sometimes get complimented, but why can't i see what others see? even with my body, im underweight. no matter how much i eat, my body is another insecurity I'll always hate. i hate the smile that i cant hide my ex used to tell me he liked it, but cheated. so im guessing he lied. i wish i could love myself, love my natural hair. but it isnt long and thin like the other girls, which isnt fair. i see myself as a disappointment, im not pretty enough. social media ruined me, with all this stupid beauty standard stuff. one day I'll look at myself with love like the sunsets in the sky. I'll tell myself, “im pretty ” with truth and not lie.
