Life & Death
Ladies & Gentleman. It's time for our final act. You've sat in your chairs and gazed from afar to witness who will live and die. Let's get the spotlight on the boy whose heart has been turned into a toy of choice, dependent on the user. Like a shapeshifter of color and emotion. Or, a rose, either vibrant and red with a sweet-smelling aroma or upside decaying and dried for an ornament on the wall as a reminder of what once was. In the hands of one, it's been a guitar strummed to a tempo not of his own, Recklessly and unpracticed, the strings broke one by one. In the hands of another, a tool once used for gardening and life-bearing melted down and reforged into an instrument of death - slashing and hacking his way through Hell. And now, spectators, his monologue begins... "Hear my cries, O' maiden of love. Where has thoust gone? I beseech thee to come from hiding, Thy game of hide and seek has gone too long. For I fear thou has lost ye. It grows dark, and I grow weary. Has thou gone home to rise with the sun? Oh wait, in the shadows, I found.... Wait, it's not thee. Who art thou?" "I'm that waits in the shadows. Not the love which you sought, Not the life once known. I'm Death. Greeting."
