life
Beneath the moon, I lose my mind, A shattered heart, a broken bind. The stars above don’t seem to care, They burn, they fade, they disappear. I wear my scars like armor deep, A silent scream, I cannot keep. The world spins on, but I stand still, Drowning in sorrow, my heart to fill. I search for light, but find only gray, The warmth of love has gone away. I chase the echoes of my pain, In every drop of falling rain. I bleed in silence, no one hears, A symphony of my darkest fears. But in this dark, I find my voice, The brokenness is all my choice. So let me fade, let me decay, A ghost in this world, I drift away. For in my heart, there’s nothing more— Just a hollow echo, forever sore.
