lies you told me
Lies you told me, like whispered breeze, Played with my heart, as if with ease. You painted tales, with vivid hue, But truth was absent, I now see through. Promises made on a moonlit night, Wrapped in sweetness, so tender and light. But your words were empty, mere shallow shells, Leaving me lost, in desolate spells. You spun a web of deceit and lies, Convincing me with your charming guise. But now I see, the truth so clear, Your falsehoods echoed, like whispers in my ear. Each lie a dagger, piercing my soul, Leaving scars that refuse to be made whole. Deceived by your words, I was blind and naive, But now awakened, I no longer grieve. For in the darkness, I found my light, Released from your hold, I took flight. No longer shackled to your deceit, I soar above falsehood, feeling complete. So thank you, dear liar, for setting me free, From the chains of your falsehoods that held onto me. I stand tall now, with strength in my stride, No longer bound by the lies you tried to hide.
