Lies
Lies In the dark corners of my mind, Lies the shadows of sorrow, Mental health crumbling like sand, In the palm of my fragile hands, I put on my mask every day, I hide behind a smile that's fake, Pretending everything is okay, But deep inside, she's starting to break., The weight of the world on my shoulders, Bearing down with relentless force, Struggling to keep it together, As the pain continues its course, The lies i tell myself each night, Trying to convince myself it's alright, But the demons within won't let me be, They taunt and torment endlessly, I try to drown out the noise, But it's always there, a constant ploy, To break me down, piece by piece, Until there's nothing left but grief, I long for peace and serenity, A respite from the mental agony, But it seems so far out of reach, As the darkness continues to leech.
