Lies
I was taught if they hurt you It means they like you I was told if boys pull your hair They have a crush on you So when they would touch me Without consent I didn’t report it I thought it was a good thing I thought it was normal Only to find out it wasn't But the more I resist The more he took I was 12, I was confused I was clueless I was never told it wasn’t okay So I never talked about it Until my PTSD was so bad I would refuse to sleep Too afraid of the nightmares And waking up in a cold sweat Not yet ready to relive That awful experience Again, and again I was taught lies It put my life on the line Just please learn from my mistake Don’t believe everything you hear No matter who it's from
