Liberty
... By the bridge, where waters flow, I stood with one, whose face I couldn't know. Papers in hand, with words that shone bright, One slipped away, and took its gentle flight. Liberty's call beckoned me to dive, Into the river's depths, where secrets thrive. I plunged into the currents, dark and cold, With a determined heart, my spirit unfold. I swam through schools of fish, with a relentless breeze, And faced a shark, with fins so sharp and fine. But passed it by, without a single bite, And swam to the surface, gasping for the light. The river transformed into a sea so wide, With waves that crashed, and a horizon to abide. A boat awaits, to carry me to the shore, Where freedom's tide, and a new dawn's in store. I reach for it, with pride and cheer, And step onto land, where my heart can clear. The journey's long, but I've made it through, With Liberty's call, still echoing anew. I feel renewed, with each step I take, And the horizon beckons, for my heart to make. The wind whispers secrets, of a life untold, And I embark, on a path that's yet to unfold. ~Ysay!
