Letting go of the ashes
By Hilda I have carried enough. The pain, the silence, the weight of things burned and broken— I have held them close, searching for answers in the smoke. But I am not a keeper of ashes. I am not a grave for memories that hurt me. I am not a prisoner of someone else’s unfinished healing. You may carry what you must— Your guilt, your regret, your silence. But they are no longer mine to bear. I release my part. Not because it was easy, But because I choose peace over pain, growth over grief. The fire burned, and now it’s out. Let the ashes fall. I walk forward, clean hands, open heart, no weight behind me. This is not forgetting. This is freedom.
