LETTING GO
I held on like it owed me peace, Like pain would soften, then release. Like maybe if I tried once more, It’d be the way it was before. I replayed words you never said, Laid sleepless next to thoughts I fed. I bent my truth to make you stay, And lost myself along the way. But healing isn’t always kind— It doesn’t ask, it doesn’t mind. It simply comes when all feels slow, And whispers softly: “Let it go.” Let go of fixing what won’t bend, Let go of waiting for pretend. Let go of “what if” and the ache, Of giving more than they could take. Not everything was meant to stay— Some things must gently drift away. And sometimes, love is learning how To breathe without it anyhow. ---- aadhya gargi gaurav
