How do I let you back into my life When all you've ever done was hurt me You didn't realize that your words stabbed my soul like a thriving knife Instead of raising me you broke me It didn't completely destroy who I am today But it matured me when I was still soo young Where even in the darkest times I found my own way I'm not mad and I'm not sad But I've been strong for too long I'm holding on but my hands starting to slip And I'm not sure if I can for much longer I've just prayed for you to heal and be you again I just want you to heal and free you from pain Because how do I let you back into my life When all you did was destroy it
