Let Me Die On A Rainy Day
I would like to die on a rainy day One where the sun doesn't shine And the birds don't play One where no one is at peace And they feel no guilt For enjoying a time while some flowers wilt I want the wind to howl The sky to pour So none feel happy like the day before And while they mourn the sunny skies I'll know that some God heard my cries Cause on my death bed I'll know I'll ask "Give me one last show, It's your final task To allow me to see my favorite thing One more strike of pleasant lightning" So for me, don't ask the sun for one more ray Just let me die on a rainy day
