Let freedom ring
Wounded with pride abused and shackled in chains. We remember the past where hostility once reigned. We were prisoners of a regime who enforced their own laws. They invaded our comfort and privacy through conflict, violence and war. People of all cultures came together and through humanity made a stand. Unlocking the chains of oppression as they fought for freedom on hand. To those who fell by the wayside; who suffered humility and pain. Your sacrifices has not been forgotten and the memories will always remain Now as we embrace our children to enjoy the fruit of the trees. To treasure our morals and values and strive for compassion and peace. We salute the heroes and heroines for liberty destined our way. We honour the battle of our forefathers as we celebrate this Freedom Day. Ronald Albert Davids
