LEST I BREATHE NO MORE
Tell hope that war gives no notice Tell patience that destitution Knows no menace Tell time,it diffuses too early Tell time,I tried my best To manage and utilise it for good But destiny took me for a fool I started crawling when my peers fly. My teeth grew When they welcome succession. I started dancing when the rhythm vanished I began to sing in the face of diminuendo. Tell education it has much paybacks: To my living and unborn wards To my nephews and nieces Lest I breathe no more Tell success I've got its ore But mentorship kept me raw And I refused to eat my food raw In my capacity: I refined all that are possible And made templates for my unborns Who will tell time a new story And show hope their deserved glory Lest I breathe no more Tell time,I managed it well But mentorship made mess of me Lest I lost the chance to wake up Tell time,I managed it well Tell the world I bade farewell.
