Lebanon
In Lebanon, the earth bleeds slow, Underneath skies that forgot how to glow. The streets are graves of shattered dreams, And silence drowns out the people's screams. Children cry in the darkened night, Their hunger gnawing, no end in sight. Mothers hold them, hearts turned to stone, For in this land, they feel so alone. The cities crumble, dust in the air, A broken world, beyond repair. Once there was hope in every hand, Now sorrow floods this ravaged land. The power’s gone, the lights don’t shine, The stars are dim, there’s no lifeline. Empty fridges, empty eyes, A country sinking under lies. Promises are poison now, A broken oath, a solemn vow. The leaders feast while the people die, And no one listens to their cry. Lebanon weeps, its voice unheard, A silent scream without a word. The soul of a nation lost in the fray, As everything good slips away. How much longer can this pain be borne, In a place where hope has been torn? How much longer must they wait, For love, for peace, or for their fate? The world watches from afar, But no one sees the open scar. Lebanon, your heart is breaking, And no one hears the sound it's making
