Layers of Perception
Some people see me as a shy girl, A girl who hides herself inside a room, hiding from the world. others see me as a selfish bi**h they like to call it, just because. For once in my life, I tried to understand myself and love myself More than others, rather than prioritizing the uncaring and loving me. They don’t love. Some see me as a good friend, a friend who is always there No matter what, In richer or poorer, a friend that would sacrifice their life for them. Some see me as a hello stranger, a stranger that they just meet every once in a while And say, "Hello," a stranger that they probably don’t have any idea about, a stranger that they Would probably forget about with time, as they always do. Some see me as a social butterfly, which I'm not but they do, A person who would get along with anybody when walking into a room full of strangers. Some see me as me, well, no one does because they fail to understand that behind all the smiles and hollers and friendliness, there is a girl who is scared of losing her loved ones, there is a girl who cries in a dark room every once in a while. I wish someone could see me as me, not just a shy girl, a selfish bi**h, a friend, or a stranger.
