lawyer talk
I look in the mirror as a 14 girl stares back at me I watch as tears we've down her cheeks I watch as she wipes them away like they are nothing I watch as her pain keeps growing over the years and nothing goes away I watch as she rises and falls over again I watch as she practices for a lawyer to talk to her for her mother to take her away how she begs and pleads with the lawyer just to see the fraction of hurt that she's been going through the begging the pleading it gets to me I watch as she struggles to breathe and watch as she looks at me in the mirror and says why did we get stuck here when there is nothing for us here she is done and she's tired she is exhausted from the weight of the power of the day she is tired she wants to go home she wants to sleep she wants to be in her room that is comfy that is hers and only hers to have and believe that she will be free her mother is amazing and a saint at what she sees but her father can be cruel and can be evil and narcissistic if he wants to be she begs the lawyer in the mirror to just let her free but her go out of her misery of the arguing in the bickering and the constant crying she begs the lawyer in the mirror not even real for a new life
