Lately

Lately, I am lost In the sands of time With nothing but my darker thoughts To keep me company The question why constantly follows me around I try to outsmart people I am extremely self conscious I worry for the sake of my soul I contemplate Jesus and Satan and the Holy Spirit I walk around to and fro I try to be friendly with people I stare down at meaninglessness I am looking for purpose Like one that I have previously known I am looking for direction A way to proceed through the every day I am seeking justice so that All of my suffering Would not be in vain The shelter of love surrounds me The wisdom of knowledge protects me The kindness of strangers guides me
