Last words

I take time out of my day to check if you're alright but you don't answer me back so I have to pretend I'm fine. I never wanted for us to be strangers but the lies you told blinded me from the dangers. You decided to leave because I was acting different. I'm sure that left you with a sense of refreshment. I can't change what happened in the past Even though you earned the title of being my last. But you have proven to me that everyday I was nothing but a stepping stone for your crusade. Now all I can possibly do is reminisce of all the days that I still do miss. Love letters no longer touch the heart as they were meant to but this one is just a goodbye from me to you.
