Lackluster
Lackluster By: Marivil Boniza The flower refused to grow, Slowly fading away, withering all at once, leaving nothing behind Indeed, it was ephemeral, yet somehow felt heavy— as if time couldn’t bring back what was once there The rose stopped growing, the skies didn’t shed tears, the light was dim, and the petals didn’t gleam It lacked sunlight, I guess— or maybe water? Maybe the soil was the problem, unable to hold such a beautiful thing Perhaps the flower was just lackluster, and like the flower, our friendship lacked radiance and stopped growing
