Knowing the Small Things
I know a girl She takes in every single detail about me The small and large Even those that don't seem that important to She remembers them all She is careful to never move too fast She doesn't touch my face without telling me She keeps felt out of her life when I'm near She always makes a point to touch my arm Even though it's scarred Cause those don't scare her like it does others She'll plant kisses up and down them even I know a girl who loves sunflowers And nothing means more to her than her mama She hates thunderstorms and hides But loves driving with music blasting She loves to do those with her friends She loved doing those with me She loved me She still says she does Once in awhile Late at night when we're half asleep When we sit in her car Thinking of what to eat And all I can ask her is why Why does she remember that And all she can give me is a simple shrug It's the small things that mean the most to you
