KIND-HEARTED XENOPHOBIA
Love is colourblind, as some may say But our world also is tinted grey. When skin tones vary, hearts can sway And in that way, discrimination starts to play. Prejudice wraps around us tight With a cloak of fear and judgement's might Racism peers through with it's ugly head, While love lies dormant, almost half-dead. But love is strong, a fire unquenchable, A force unstoppable, undeniably sustainable, As we open our hearts, shatter our walls, Unbind our preconceptions, we'll see what love calls. Love is patient, love is kind, It knows no boundaries, it's colourblind. Yet, the fight against racism is a battle within, A struggle to unlearn what has always been. But love, oh love, it has the power to mend, To unite us all, to make us blend. Not everything is bound to be, But with love, I think we'd be able to see, That we are all the same, very much serene. So let's all break the chains, unlock the gates, Let love triumph over hate. O kind-hearted xenophobia, What a mystery you are, much more like a supernova. Lalisa Dior 🩶
