Kids are the Future?

Kids are the Future, they'll help the earth. Adults break things that kids are expected to fix. Stay silent, we are told this from birth. Maybe we can throw more problems in the mix. Go to school and sit in straight lines. Let bygones be bygones while we tell you lies. Kids are the future, as long as you a straight, white, male. If you're bi, trans, gay, or lesbian then you're going to hell. And Lord forbid we support our future. Because they're too busy breaking a world kids will fix. Adults are too busy saying kids are a failure. When will we get over the ignorant bliss. While kids could say the same. When we they stop and think of their destructive ways. When will adults realize that kids cannot be tamed. Push kids to be their best, when they will never pass our tests. Kids are the future, is what we claim. So why are we so adamant on screaming disgrace. Kids are the future, but it's not the same. When will we stop lying to their face.
