Kids?
I've never wanted kids I always hated them, actually Especially the idea of having them Being responsible for raising more menaces But the more I think about my future My future with you I begin to love the idea of being a parent Just a little, only with you You'd be such a good dad, I can picture it Playing catch in the yard with our little boy And letting our girl cover you in glitter and makeup You'd tell the worst dad jokes every chance you got You'd always have instruments around to play sweet songs for them And you'd teach them how to play too Every time it snowed you'd help the kids build the biggest snow fort And go sledding down the biggest hill And build the biggest snow man In the summer you'd hurl them into the pool And hoist them on your shoulders as they giggled We'd go camping and you'd show them how to build a fire And how to pitch a tent On Mother's Day you'd help them make me breakfast in bed And buy me a bouquet of flowers And on Father's Day we'd decorate the house in balloons and cook your favorite meals Every night before bed, you'd tell the wildest stories Or read some Curious George And we'd tuck our kids into bed And they'd whisper: Goodnight mom and dad
