JUST FOR A DAY
Debilitated by this heavy burden Baggages of anguish and misery A millennium of walking on agony Just for a day, may I lay on heaven? Depression like a pond where I dabbled That rapidly became a wide ocean Where I now drown with my ambitions Just for a day, may I not be suicidal? As I age, it's becoming pitch black Joy and delight have already been exiled Everything was vibrant when I was a child Just for a day, may I go back? My anxiety is a size of a mountain But I used to be a man of dream and vision Sharpened by persistence and dedication Just for a day, may I be my old self again? I only have me in this world so wicked No one knows that gloom is embroided on me Would they shed a tear in the cemetery? Just for a day, I want to see me dead. Why did you leave me so early mother? You were the only one who sees deep within The only one who could tell I'm dying Just for a day, can we be together? Just for a day, may I say my goodbye? May I escape these chaos and madness? May I experince peace or happiness? Just for forever, may I die?
