JUST A WISH
I wish the thoughts would quiet down, I wish the nights were not this long, But even when the panic shakes my bones, I remind myself, broken or not, I'm trying to stay strong. I wish my breath came easier, I wish my tears would finally dry, But anxiety holds me by the throat, And still, somehow, I rise One trembling step at a time. And I wish the storm inside would fade, I wish my heart would learn to rest, But even in the chaos of my mind, I'm fighting to believe That someday, I'l feel pea ce again.
