Just a typical sad night.
In the quiet of midnight, I lie awake, Reflecting on the errors, my heartache. Voices in my head, a deafening roar, Louder than the world outside my door. Tears flow freely, down my weary face, As I seek comfort in this lonely space. Wrapped in my arms, a self-embrace, Shielding myself from the world's embrace. Silent screams trapped within, denied release, A poem emerges, a form of peace. Through words, emotions find their flight, In this solace of the darkest night. Though shadows linger, heavy and dense, In poetry's embrace, I find recompense.
